This section of our website allows music artists to upload their demos for review by our staff.
Rules:
1. Please only upload demos if you are interested in becoming part of our label exclusively - if we like a track and you change your mind without good reason this is not fair on us.
2. No samples which would require clearance at all. It is known that archive.org and NASA sound samples are in the public domain which are OK to use.
3. Please record and mix your material properly. If your release is of a high standard but the mixing is not good enough for release there may be an exception to this rule whereby you send separate files of each channel and we mix the track for you if you sign the track over to us.
4. No generic 'rock and pop' music - sorry. If you're as good as pink floyd then maybe.
5. Please upload the full track including the intro, there is no need to create a 3-minute radio/demo version - unless this is all you have.
Expectations on being signed:
1. You will receive 50% of the sale of each track purchased from this website. On other digital download sites, this will not be possible as the cut from these sites is quite high therefore we will have to pay you less per-track after our administration costs.
2. Releases will be expected to last for the duration of the life of Metabin Recordings, although we reserve the right to remove content if any copyright issues occur; and you will be personally liable for any royalties that are due to the original copyright holder.
3. Unfortunately advances are currently not given for releases, although artists get full access to the entire archive of the recordings for free, plus the promotion and other benefits associated with Metabin Recordings.
4. We expect you to submit more releases as time goes on, without rushing out a substandard release of course! The artists on this label currently are cycling around 1 album per year to give you an idea; we're not into 4 years to create an album like the 'major' electronic artists.
5. The reason the copyright of each of your tracks released on metabin recordings has to be signed over to metabin ltd. exclusivly is to collect royalties and to protect you from any liability as long as you have not broken the law.
